Fabio completed his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Turin, Italy, where his thesis, supervised by Carlo Maccaferri, focused on effective actions in string field theory. Afterward, he pursued his PhD through a dual degree program between the University of Milan-Bicocca and the University of Surrey.
The research he carried out with Sara Pasquetti and collaborators was focused on supersymmetric gauge theories with 8 supercharges in 3d and 4 supercharges in 4d. Specifically, he contributed to the development of an algorithm that enables the mirror dualization of 3d N=4 and 4d N=1 quivers under the action of the full (P)SL(2,Z) group in a purely field-theoretic manner.
He is particularly interested in exploring how this algorithm can be extended to a wider class of models and in leveraging its potential while studying the theories' vacua structure. His work in Vienna will surely contribute to new insights in the crossroads between mathematics and physics.
We wish him many successes with his work in Vienna!
