Lóránt received their PhD in Hamburg and was a postdoc at the MPI Bonn, University of Hamburg and IST Austria. Their research interest are 2- and 3-dimensional topological and conformal quantum field theories, higher categories and related topics in mathematical physics. Lóránt is receiving a Walter Benjamin Fellowship from the DFG in Germany and works as a postdoc with Nils Carqueville. We warmly welcome Lóránt and wish a pleasant time here in Vienna.
