He received his PhD from Kyoto University, and held postdoc positions at DIAS Dublin and KEK (Japan). Yuhma is an expert on matrix models in the context of string theory and gauge/gravity duality, and will be member of the FWF-supported project "Covariant Quantum Spaces, Higher Spin, and Gravity" led by Harold Steinacker. We are happy to have Dr. Asano in our research group and wish him a nice and fruitful time in Vienna.
