A Warm Welcome to David Jaklitsch

10.03.2025

David joins the group of Nils Carqueville for a three-month research stay funded by The Research Council of Norway. He is currently a postdoctoral fellow at University of Oslo working within the QOMBINE project.

The research conducted during his PhD at Universität Hamburg contributed to the development of tools for the study of pivotal Morita equivalence and provided a bicategorical state sum construction of Turaev-Viro invariants, intrinsically showing their independence from the representative in the Morita class of the input data.

During the stay in Vienna, he will collaborate with Nils and Vincentas Mulevicius aiming to realize this construction as an orbifoldization of an adequate defect topological field theory and delve into further connections.
