Teaching award 2017/2018 goes to Olaf Krüger

08.03.2018

The physics students elected Olaf Krüger for the teaching award 2017/2018. The prize of 2000€, donated by the dean's office, will be spent for teaching.

All members of the group consider teaching as highly important and happily dedicate a lot of time, energy and creativity into it. This has been honored by the students of the faculty of physics in a poll that was initiated to elect the best teacher during the last year. All group members who had taught during the whole year were nominated for the award and got positive feedback from the students.

The students of the faculty of physics evaluated the nominated teachers via the following criteria:

  • didactical competence
  • subject-specific competence
  • fairness and transparency
  • interaction with students

This year, 358 students participated at the poll and chose Stefan Fredenhagen, Nikolai Kiesel, Olaf Krüger and Jan Rosseel to be the best teachers 2017/2018 (without order). We are very happy that the prize was finally awarded to Olaf Krüger. The prize of 2000€, donated by the dean's office, will be spent for teaching again.

Congratulations!
